Web Apps (Applications)
A web application is not necessarily limited to applications that run on the internet. A lot of the time web applications run on intranet (Internal Network) and individual computers, the beauty of which an application can be tailored to meet individual needs.
So what can it do? More to the point what can’t it do!! You can import spreadsheets, generate word documents and PDF’s, view charts, manipulate data from front end use. Imagine being able to generate customer invoices and reports at the touch of a button that would then email your client and cut down on your carbon foot print by reducing the number of times you need to print. You can do just about anything you want in a web application. With a web server and a database the possibilities are endless.
Imagine having the control you need at your finger tips making your work load easier. The added advantage of a web application is that you can combine a back end internal system with a front end website so that you can quickly update information and if you are running an ecommerce website you can apply rates for different clients and different mark ups on products you want to sell.
